Gratitude Sunday-Family and Alzheimer's
Members of my family gathered on Sunday to celebrate Thanksgiving and my sister's visit from Florida. We visited my mom who has dementia/Alzheimer's at the rehab center she is at currently. It meant so much to her! I am grateful she was able to enjoy our visit as she was previously pretty out of it after being hospitalized.

How lovely that you all got together to spend time with your Mom. Precious moments indeed x

DeleteThis is a very striking and almost perfect photo in itself, even if one does not know the back-story.
ReplyDeleteI had to puzzle over trying to figure out why it is so good - partly it is the lighting, partly the poses/attitudes of the participants, partly because it is REAL, but I think it is the engagement of the central two characters with each other that really makes it.
Whether planned or not (!), it really is a great shot.
A family friend took the photo so it was unplanned. I agree with you that it is the 2 central figures that draw in the eye in what is otherwise one of millions of family photos that are not usually of interest to anyone other that the family.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your thoughtful comment. I liked your mermaids.
